What is the longest time period .....

What is the longest time period someone with bipolar type 1 has remained stable with medications and healthy lifestyle choices?

This question is right up my alley as I can honestly say, I have been 100% well for at least four years on bipolar medicine and healthy lifestyle choices. I have never had a bad day in all that time—no depression, mania, or psychosis. The only thing I have had and still have on occasion, is anxiety. I have bipolar 1 with psychotic tendencies and anxiety.

It is wonderful to be free of all those terrible mood swings that took over my life.

Living with bipolar is very hard, on yourself and those around you. Every day is a challenge, and often it feels like life is not worth living. Bipolar is a devastating illness.

But don’t think I came across this well state by accident because I have had a lifetime of searching for the right medication. I found it on several occasions, but as you must know medicines often stop working after some time. So you are back to square one.

I finally found Vraylar which has been my magic pill, my savior, for four years. I can’t say it is just that pill either because I have a combination of pills that I stick to:

  • Vraylar
  • Remeron
  • Amitriptyline
  • Trazadone
  • Lamotrigine
  • Hydroxyzine (For occasional anxiety)

I also lead a healthy lifestyle by taking care of my sleep, eating, and exercising. All these things work in tandem. I have a good nurse practitioner who tells me to leave my medications as they are because they are working!

I have written four books on bipolar, and would never been able to do that if I was still ill:

  • How to Live with Bipolar
  • 37 Symptoms of Bipolar Depression
  • The Bipolar Guide
  • Bipolar 1 Rescue Plan

All my books are available on Amazon.
